April Murray is a Registered Dietitian, and, simply put, a true food fan. Her passion for food, nutrition and education lead her to found Orange County Nutrition Coaching. An in-demand health expert, April’s articles and interviews have appeared in the Los Angeles Register, everydayhealth.com, the Orange County Register, myhealthyoc.com and more. April recently published her first cook book, The Ultimate Pegan Cookbook and Diet Guide.
She provides individual nutrition counseling, family sessions and cooking classes to clients in the Orange County area. April earned her Bachelor of Science in clinical nutrition at University of California Davis and completed her Dietetic Program at Stony Brook University in New York. With a love for cooking, April began The Thin Kitchen, a popular nutrition and recipe blog. She has consulted for restaurants such as the Bluewater Grill and Stamford Salads, modifying recipes and creating healthier menu options.
April’s career direction was influenced by her past struggles with food. She understands the pain of having a poor relationship with food. Having overcome her health struggles, April is passionate about helping others do the same. When she is not at work or in the kitchen, April enjoys spending time on the beach with her miniature Australian Shepard.
