Dr. Jason Kellogg
Dr. Jason Kellogg, MD, a noted Psychiatrist, has assumed the role of Medical Director for Hotel California By The Sea’s California facilities since 2017. Dr. Kellogg provides exemplary leadership to HCBTS’s team of treatment professionals, which includes physicians, nursing staff, licensed behavioral health therapists, and certified substance use disorder counselors.
Dr. Jason Kellogg has been a steadfast advocate for individuals battling substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders throughout his 26 year-long career in the field.
Dr. Kellogg’s career in medicine began with Summa Cum Laude honors at the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. His educational path led him to Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where he obtained his Medical Degree. He further honed his expertise at the University of California Irvine College of Medicine, culminating in the completion of his Psychiatry residency, where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Kellogg’s commitment to the field extended to two terms as the Chairman of the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, California, where he earned the prestigious Physician of the Year award. Additionally, Dr. Kellogg holds the role of Chief of Staff at Newport Bay Hospital and serves as the CEO of Progeny Psychiatric Group.
With his extensive knowledge and dedication, Dr. Kellogg is Board Certified in Psychotherapy and is an active member of esteemed organizations, including the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American Psychiatric Association, and the American Medical Association.
His contributions to the field are not limited to clinical practice; Dr. Kellogg has made significant strides in research and education. He has published numerous articles and presented at renowned conferences such as the American Psychiatric Association and the United States Psych Congress.
