Dr. Renu Kotwal
Dr. Renu Kotwal, MD, Board Certified Psychiatrist, has served as the Medical Director of Hotel California By The Sea’s Ohio facilities since 2018. Dr. Kotwal leads HCBTS’s team of treatment professionals, including physicians, nursing staff, licensed behavioral health therapists, and licensed chemical dependency counselors.
Dr. Kotwal is a Board Certified Psychiatrist that has been treating individuals with substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and/or co-occurring disorders for the past 30 years.
Dr. Kotwal has been Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology for the past 24 years. Dr. Kotwal completed her residency in Psychiatry and Chief Residency in Psychiatry at S.U.N.Y. Health Science Center in Brooklyn, New York.
In 2018, Dr. Kotwal was named by Cincinnati Magazine as one of Cincinnati’s top Psychiatrists.
Dr. Kotwal is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and American Society of Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Kotwal has published a number of professional articles, presented a variety of professional presentations, and has served in several teaching positions for psychiatry. Dr. Kotwal is also a Psychiatrist at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
