Dr. Barbara Mendrey
Dr. Barbara Mendrey, MD, Board Certified Addiction Medicine Physician, has served as the Medical Director of Hotel California By The Sea’s Washington facilities since 2018. Dr. Mendrey leads HCBTS’s team of treatment professionals, including physicians, nursing staff, licensed behavioral health therapists, and licensed substance use disorder professionals.
Dr. Mendrey is a Board Certified Addiction Medicine Physician that has been treating individuals with substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and/or co-occurring disorders for the past 17 years.
Dr. Mendrey has been Board Certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventative Medicine since 2018 and has been Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine since 1979.
From 1988-1996, Dr. Mendrey served in the U.S. Army Reserves as a family practice doctor in Guatemala, Panama, Maldives, and Desert Storm. Dr. Mendrey has served as a family practice doctor in a number of hospitals, clinics, and urgent care centers. Dr. Mendrey is also the CEO of Northshore Family Practice in Bothell, Washington. Dr. Mendrey earned her Medical Degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon, where she earlier obtained her bachelor’s degree from Portland State University. Dr. Mendrey completed her family practice residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Mendrey is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Mendrey enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and skiing.
